Caledonia Youth, formerly Brook in Scotland, has been awarded monies by the Scottish Executive to develop services throughout Scotland in an attempt to support the Government in achieving nationally set targets regarding young people's sexual health, in particular unplanned teenage pregnancies and the increase in Sexually Transmitted Infections. In addition to our existing Edinburgh branch at 5 Castle Terrace, Edinburgh EH1 2DP, which has been established for over 30 years, we are pleased to announce the opening of our Glasgow branch at Atlantic Chambers on 45 Hope Street, Glasgow G2 6AE. We will also be establishing additional branches in Dundee, Falkirk and Aberdeen respectively. Caledonia Youth offers FREE comprehensive sexual health services for all young people up to and including the age of 21 within Glasgow and up to 25 years within Edinburgh via counselling, clinical and education sessions. Our "drop in" confidential clinical service is a nurse-led "one stop shop" with a doctor and qualified counsellor (by appointment) also on-site where clients can receive the following: * Contraception * Emergency contraception * Condoms * Pregnancy Testing * Pregnancy Counselling * Relationship Counselling * Specific work with under 16s * Infection advice * Tailor-made education & information sessions* *Education is central to our work as we believe that appropriate and relevant sex education will help young people realise their potential in terms of personal relationships, understanding their sexuality, social integration and opportunities in adult life. Consequently, we provide tailor-made education sessions to young people, youth workers, health professionals, teachers and carers FREE OF CHARGE.
