I have been a health adviser since 1994 years mainly in small provincial town clinics. I work in Macclesfield in Cheshire and also do some locum health advising at Manchester Royal Infirmary.

I am a Registered Mental Nurse (RMN) by trade and qualified in 1991. My first assignation with sexual health was when working as a HIV liaison nurse. I have since become a specialist nurse practitioner in HIV/AIDS gaining the ENB higher award along with a BA (Hons). I am currently coming to the end of a PGdip in psychosexual therapy and hope to to take this to Masters level in 2002.

VICE PRESIDENT SHASTD: Roles & Responsibilities

	To deputise for the President of the Society of Health Advisers in Sexually Transmitted Diseases and where appropriate other national officers of the Society.
	To encourage and develop specific projects as directed by council.
	To assist and encourage the regional representatives in their role.
	To promote and supports the aims of the Society.
	To support council constructively in carrying out its duties.
	To contribute to meetings and take on specific tasks, from time to time, as agreed by council.
	Council recommends that this officer should have at least two years experience as a health adviser and as a member of SHASTD.
